With a helping hand from Edward Andrews Homes, Atlanta Mission’s Women and Children’s Center will reopen its doors on Sept. 29, 2014 with a completely renovated facility.

This 16,000 square-foot space has been renovated and redefined as a safe haven where women can come together to participate in programs and activities focused on their education and care.

Atlanta Mission

In order to complete the renovation project both effectively and efficiently, Edward Andrews Homes helped take the lead on project management, utilizing the unique knowledge and skills of their team, to direct this undertaking. All of the efforts made by Edward Andrews would not be possible without the overwhelming support from their trade relations, including Atlanta West Carpet, D Decker, Sherwin Williams and Structured Drywall.

Established in 1938 as a soup kitchen, the Atlanta Mission provides shelter to men, women and children in the Atlanta area. The newly renovated Women and Children’s Center of the Atlanta Mission is located at 655 Ethel Street, Atlanta, GA 30318.

As the company grows, Edward Andrews Homes recognizes their responsibility to serve the local community as well. Previously, Edward Andrews has committed to giving back to the community through volunteer work with other organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army. Through this project with the Atlanta Mission, Edward Andrews found another volunteer opportunity to utilize their construction resources while building a long term relationship in the process.
