A critical aspect of the homebuilding process is land acquisition and development – the ability to strategically acquire large tracks of land with an eye for their development as award-winning communities of the future.
At Edward Andrews Homes, this unique ability is embedded in the DNA of our founders. It’s not something that’s learned overnight – but we have found an immersive full-day course that will help get you there!
Later this month, The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHB) welcomes Tom Cooper, Professor Emeritus of the Auburn University Department of Building Science and certified NAHB instructor. During this credited course, approved by the Housing Institute, Tom will teach attendees how developers assess markets, acquire land and devise site plans that attract financing.
The class will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the GAHB headquarters, 1484 Brockett Rd., Tucker, Ga. 30084. Registration is $175 for Greater Atlanta HBA members, $195 for other HBA members and $225 for non-members. The registration deadline is March 25, 2014. The class is open to the public – specifically anyone involved in the construction, design, inspection or planning of residential construction – and those looking to gain credit for the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors.
